John
North Kohala Hawaii. A friend once stated that "Kohala is
like a place where the elephants go to die". Well I may have had an
albatross once or twice hanging around my neck, but I've never seen
an elephant. North Kohala is rural Hawaii. A place that saw the
birth of King Kamehameha the Great. A place where sugar cane was
king. A dead end on the northern most tip of the "Big Island" of
Hawaii. North Kohala is evolving, yet somehow managing to remain
true. For places to stay in Kohala see map. For more on the
history see
Kamehameha, for more photos of the area just look to the left
and click on the area of your interest. Places to stay in the Kohala
Hawaii area include: Kohala
Country Adventures,
Kohala Gardens
Hideaway, and Hawi
Hideaway. interest. View Kohala Gallery, North Kohala in a larger map |
